Ingredients
470ml water
3 x 60g eggs
1/3 cup oil
1 x tpsn vinegar
1/2 cup chick pea flour
1/2 cup brown rice bran
2 cups brown rice flour
1 cup potato starch (This is instead of arrowroot because 'arrowroot' may not necessarily be arrowroot. According to my dictionary, arrowroot can be arrowroot starch mixed with other starches which lends the danger of some wheat starch mixed in. Potato starch works fine.)
1 tblespoon xanthan gum
1 tblespoon raw sugar
3 tblespoons brown sugar
1 tspn cinnamon
1 1/2 tspn iodised salt
3 tblespoons blanched slivers of almonds
2 tspns dry yeast
Method
Put in bread making machine in order shown above. Set for a 1.25kg loaf with a dark crust.Where can I find a recipe for Gluten Free Bread mix that can be made in a bread maker.?
In addition to the recipes and links already provided, Betty Hagman has a series of cook books under the heading ';The Gluten-Free Gourmet.'; She has a couple different bread recipes in the ';The Gluten-Free Gourmet Cooks Fast and Healthy'; that are written for bread machines.
One caveat with any bread recipe: Use the amount of yeast recommended by the yeast manufacturer, not the amount called for in the recipes. When I used the amounts called for in the recipes, I found that sometimes the bread barely rose, and other times it rose so much it pushed open the machine's lid!
hi n try the god food web site! also Lakeland do a mix !
I saw a packet of gluten free bread mix for breadmaker in Tescos just yesterday - it was a larger store, though, they might not have them in the smaller ones.
