Has any one got a good fruit cake recipe made from one of the boxed bread mixes ... like date/nut bread. etc.?

I had a really good one using dried fruit instead of the glaceed fruit. Different and very good with coffee or tea. All my recipes were lost in my last move. Any help will be appreciated.Has any one got a good fruit cake recipe made from one of the boxed bread mixes ... like date/nut bread. etc.?

Grease and flour bottom and sides of pan. In large bowl, combine egg and water. Add remaining ingredients. Stir by hand until combined. Pour into prepared pan. Bake at 350 according to pan size until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 15 minutes and remove from pan. Store in plastic wrap in refrigerator.

8x4 pan 70-80 minutes

9x5 pan 60-70 minutes

I do this every year, and give away the loaves. Get a mix for regular white bread, and after mixing it up, dump in:

maraschino cherries

m%26amp;ms

chocolate kisses (yes, the big ones)

raisins

dried dates (not chopped up)

Almost anything else I think of.

When you slice the bread there is always a fun surprise!
