Banana Nut Bread
1 1/3 cups brown sugar
1/2 cup butter
1 1/2 cups flour
2 eggs, lightly beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 cup pecans or walnuts, chopped
1 tsp. baking powder
1-2 cups mashed banana
1 tsp. lemon zest grated(optional)
Cream butter and brown sugar together. Add eggs and vanilla and beat lightly. Sift flour, salt and baking powder into butter mixture, then add mashed bananas. Mix well and blend in chopped nuts. If you add the lemon peel, do so with the eggs and vanilla. Grease a loaf pan and flour lightly. Pour batter into loaf pan and bake in preheated oven at 180C (375-390 F.) Check if done by sticking a toothpick into center of bread and if it comes out clean, it is done- start checking after about 35 minutes. Cool before removing from loaf pan.Yummy banana bread recipe??

INGREDIENTS
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup white sugar
1 egg
5 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup margarine
1 cup mashed bananas
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
DIRECTIONS
Sift together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
In a large bowl, cream sugar and butter or margarine. Beat the egg slightly, and mix into the creamed mixture with the bananas. Mix in sifted ingredients until just combined. Stir in milk and nuts. Spread batter into one greased and floured 9x5 inch loaf pan.
Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) until top is brown and cracks along the top.
Whole Grain Healthy Banana Bread
3/4 cup SPLENDA庐
Sugar Blend for Baking
3/4 cup flax seed meal
5 ripe bananas, mashed
1/4 cup skim milk
1/4 cup low-fat sour cream
2 teaspoons egg whites
2 cups whole wheat flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 chopped walnuts
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees
Grease and a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
In a medium bowl, mix together the sugar blend, flax meal, bananas, milk, sour cream and egg whites until well blended. Combine the flour, baking soda and salt; stir into the banana mixture until moistened. Add walnuts. Spoon into prepared loaf pan.
Bake for 1 hour and 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until a toothpick inserted into the crown of the loaf comes out clean.

Spread the nuts in a single layer in a shallow baking pan.
Bake at a 350 oven for 5 to 10 minutes or till light golden brown, watching carefully and stirring once or twice so food doesn't burn.
Add the ingredients to a bread machine according to manufacturer's directions, adding the banana with the milk.
Bake the bread using regular or white setting (use the light color setting, if available).
This is my absolute favorite! It's my mom's recipe and we make it often. It's loaded with banana flavor and it contains all-bran so it is high in fiber.

1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
3 cups flour
3/4 cup nuts
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
3/4 cup all-bran cereal
--Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream shortening with sugar, add beaten eggs and milk. Sift together flour, salt, and baking soda and add to batter alternating with the banana. Add nuts, then All-Bran and vanilla. Depending on the size of your loaf pans, this can be put into one or two greased pans (I usually put it into two). Bake for 50-60 minutes.
